THIS IS THE MORNING CANDLE CAMP from 9 AM to 12 noon WEEK OF JULY 7, 2025 FOR AGES 11-15 CAMP RUNS JULY 7, 8, 9, 10 in the morning only JULY 11 IS OPTIONAL ADD ON DAY Whip and Scoop Dessert Candle camp for older tweens and teens (ages 11 to 15) Mature tweens and teens...please join us for this one of a kind, SMALL GROUP candle camp! Dessert candles are so popular right now. People love to display them, smell their deliciousness, give them as gifts...but the most fun part of these candles is actually making them! Campers will learn candle making fundamentals and safety, and then quickly move on to more advanced techniques that will empower them to make their own custom candle creations! Topics covered include: Candle safety (burning and pouring) How to properly wick candles Candle vessel selection Adding fragrance to wax Candle pouring techniques Adding color to candles How to whip wax (for cake candles) How to pipe wax (for whipped cream candles) Using beeswax embeds How to scoop wax (for ice cream and drink candles) Campers will follow guided instruction as a group but also be working independently to create the following candles (at a minimum) over the course of four half days: One 7-11 ounce poured, scented soy candle in choice of vessel Two 4 ounce poured, scented soy candle tins One 14 ounce Starbucks type drink candle with whipped wax, beeswax embeds and/or wax syrup two mini cake candles with poured wax frosting and beeswax dessert embeds two ice cream candles with beeswax embeds Friday is an optional day of camp that can be added during enrollment (select option) for an additional $75. Friday will be independent (and supervised) candle making based on the techniques learned in the previous four days of camp. Campers can choose to make more of any candle previously made in the camp. **We use ONLY high quality, American grown soy wax and beeswax in this camp. Fragrances are designed and safe for hobbyists and are high quality, phthalate and paraben free, not tested on animals, and California prop 65 compliant. WE USE 200 DEGREE HOT WAX THROUGHOUT THE CAMP. A SIGNED WAIVER IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CAMP. ANY CAMPER WHO FAILS TO COMPLY WITH SAFETY PROTOCOLS WILL BE EJECTED FROM CAMP WITH NO WARNING AND NO REFUND. SAFETY OF ALL CAMPERS IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY AT ALL TIMES. That being said, YES your child can learn to safely make these candles. It is a huge confidence builder and a ton of fun!

Cancellation Policy
FOR PUBLIC WORKSHOPS: For cancellations at least 72 hours before the start of the class, we will issue you a refund to your original form of payment (minus $10). For cancellations less than 72 hours but more than 24 hours before class start, we will issue you a credit to be used at a future Create Studios class. Cancellations less than 24 hours before class start will be treated as no shows and no refund or credit of any kind will be issued. Thank you so much for your understanding! FOR PRIVATE WORKSHOPS: To reserve your date, we require a 50% deposit in the form of half of total bookings, or by partial payment of invoice. For cancellations at least 72 hours before event start time, you can use your deposit (minus a $100 cancellation fee) towards a future private event at Create Studios. FOR CAMPS: Camp payments are non-refundable. Please sign up thoughtfully.
Important Info
Advance registration is required for all workshops except Drop-in Crafts. Please note that our studio is closed to the public during workshops and events. With the exception of Drop-in Crafts, no walk-ins are accepted.

If you have more than eight people interested in a public workshop, we can schedule a private event just for your group! If you have a group of less than eight people, we may be able to add another public workshop to the calendar and put your group in first. Please contact us to find out more.

Our studio has been designed with adult comfort in mind. In many of our workshops we use materials not suitable for children, such as sharp wire, glass, fragrance and essential oils, hot wax and glue, heat guns, etc. The age requirements listed for each workshop are there for everyone’s safety. We ask that you please adhere to the guidelines. Thank you so much!
